Uniting for Peace
"Uniting for Peace: Share the Light" is an inspiring campaign designed to shape a more positive narrative around culture and politics in India, especially as we approach the significant 2024 election.
The campaign is premised on the idea that the vast majority of people choose peace and social cohesion, and the divisive forces are a small minority, albeit a loud one. We hope to counter the hate, othering and loudness with an equally robust clarion call for peace, drawing on popular culture, nostalgia, the arts and creativity, and have as many people and organizations join us as possible.
This initiative leverages a series of themed activities - ranging from poetry and art to dance and personal pledges - to highlight and reinforce visions of peace, unity, and understanding at both micro and macro levels.

Ways to Partner
Share the campaign posts from Hindus for Human Rights using the appropriate hashtags.
Additionally, you can use the themed frames made available on social media each week to create personalised and creative iterations on the theme, which of course we would share too!
Record and share video messages from your organisation’s leadership and members in support of the campaign which we will share across our socials and newsletter as well.
Where possible, bring in well-known personalities and influencers to support the campaign through their personalised messages or participation to add some star power to the cause.
Participants are encouraged to include a candle emojis 🕯️ in their posts to visually represent the act of sharing the light.
Bring other organisations in your networks into the campaign- numbers matter!
Visibility for partners
The campaign will have a home on the Hindus for Human Rights website as a separate page – and all partner logos will be included. We will also issue a media release at the start of the campaign and include all partner organisations. We can also include quotes and messages from partners in the media release, newsletter and across our socials.
