MISSION
We advocate for pluralism, civil and human rights in South Asia and North America, rooted in the values of our faith: shanti (peace), nyaya (justice) and satya (truth). We provide a Hindu voice of resistance to caste, Hindutva (Hindu nationalism), racism, and all forms of bigotry and oppression.
Our vision is a world defined by lokasangraha (the universal common good) — where there is peace among all people, and our planet is honored and protected.

VALUES
1) Inclusive Hinduism
We celebrate the diversity of Hindu traditions, and we believe that we must hold our traditions accountable to their highest teachings. We are committed to the annihilation of caste, and the right to equality for Dalits, Bahujans, Adivasis, and all communities that have been marginalized by our traditions.
2) Inquiry as Advocacy
We prioritize dialogue as a means of understanding and community-building, and advocacy as our path to action.
3) Fearlessness and Truth-telling
We seek information about current affairs from trusted sources on the ground and share fact-based information on our platforms.
4) Constant Creation and Replenishment
Through our work together, we strive to honor the humanity of each other and everyone with whom we connect. We suggest, and participate in, creative solutions to heal our world’s injustices.
If you would like to join our movement, please message us on Facebook or email us at info@hindusforhumanrights.org.
PRIORITIES
We work with a broad coalition of partners to educate elected officials and the public in North America about civil and human rights issues in South Asia.
Our advocacy takes many forms, including government briefings, peaceful protests, op-eds, webinars, conferences, and social media mobilization.
We represent a rising number of global Hindus who are opposed to the bigotry and violence of Hindutva and caste, and we have members and chapters in Australia, the United Kingdom, India, and beyond.
