Alarming Trend Reported from the California Civil Rights Department on anti-Hindu hate incidents

Hindus for Human Rights is deeply concerned and shocked by a recent report from the California Civil Rights Department's CA vs Hate hotline, reporting that anti-Hindu hate incidents constituted the second most frequent form of religiously motivated hate, accounting for 23% of all cases. This troubling statistic follows anti-Jewish hate incidents, which were the most reported at 37%, and is followed by anti-Muslim incidents at 15%.

We are committed to understanding the underlying causes of this trend and urge the community to join us in addressing and combating all forms of religious hatred. Our mission is to foster a society where all individuals can live without fear of discrimination or violence based on their race, ethnicity, faith or national origin. This report underscores the urgent need for continued vigilance and collective, interfaith action against intolerance in all its forms and the importance of data and analysis in understanding the dynamics of intolerance and developing effective strategies to combat it.

Hindus for Human Rights calls on local authorities, community leaders, and citizens to stand together in solidarity and support initiatives aimed at promoting religious tolerance and safeguarding the rights of all individuals. We will continue to advocate for comprehensive measures to address and prevent hate crimes and ensure that every community member feels safe and respected.
