Celebrating Indian Christian Day: Honoring Contributions in Medicine

Today, Hindus for Human Rights joins in celebrating Indian Christian Day, a day dedicated to honoring the profound impact of Jesus Christ's message, brought to India in AD 52 by St. Thomas the Apostle. This day, July 3rd, marks the traditionally accepted martyrdom of St. Thomas, who was martyred in Chennai in 72 AD.

As we reflect on the legacy of St. Thomas and the Indian Christian community, we recognize the invaluable contributions made in various fields, especially medicine which is the emphasis for 2024’s celebrations. From pioneering medical practices to compassionate care, the Indian Christian community has played a crucial role in advancing healthcare in our nation.

Join us in celebrating this day by watching this special video that highlights the remarkable achievements of Indian Christians in the field of medicine, showcasing their dedication and service to the well-being of all Indians.

Let us celebrate this day by acknowledging the rich cultural heritage and unity that Indian Christians bring to a diverse nation. Together, we honor their legacy and continue to promote inclusivity and harmony in India.
