A Message From Our Executive Director, Sunita Viswanath |
The overwhelm we feel right now is no accident—it’s the outcome of a system determined to silence dissent and concentrate power. Gaza burns. International students—many of them South Asian—are being deported to crush free speech. The war in Ukraine grinds on. And in the U.S., programs that once represented our highest ideals are being gutted by DOGE and other cynical policies.
All the while, Hindu American figures like Tulsi Gabbard and Kash Patel have taken center stage—twisting our faith to justify violence, bigotry, and authoritarianism. But that is not our Hinduism. We are building something different. A Hindu voice for justice. A multifaith, multiracial resistance that knows its roots—like our recent presence in Selma—and refuses to be erased.
Now is not the time to pause. It’s time to organize. To resist. To act. Support this work. Make a donation today. |

So why is the Mayo Clinic partnering with Adani for the $686 million ‘Adani Health City’ project? Learn more and sign our petition calling on Mayo Clinic to provide transparency and #DropAdani now. |
Have Your Art Featured in HfHR's 2026 Calendar! |
The calendar reinterprets the Hindu deity-per-month model through the theme "Embodiments of Gender", exploring how divinity, identity, and justice intersect across time and tradition. Hindu mythologies are rich with figures who transcend rigid binaries, embody multiple identities, or challenge societal norms—expressions of gender that defy categorization.
Each month, a deity serves as an anchor for this exploration, illuminating how gender, caste, and communal belonging not only shape the sacred and the social but are also continually resisted, reshaped and reinterpreted – challenging hierarchies and reclaiming space within the spiritual and cultural imagination.
We're hosting an open call for artists to submit pieces that examine the fluidity, multiplicity, and self-definition of gender within Hindu narratives, particularly in ways that challenge caste-imposed constrains on identity and purity. Deadline: April 14th, 2025 Artists who are selected will be paid a modest honorarium of $250 if their submission is selected for the 2026 Calendar. |

Hindus for Human Rights UK is proud to have been an official supporting organization at the Al Quds Rally for Palestine, organized by the Islamic Human Rights Commission. The rally took place outside the BBC headquarters in Portland Place, London, as a protest against the national broadcaster's continual misrepresenting of the genocide as a means of trying to create a climate in which the genocide is considered publicly acceptable.
As progressive Hindus, we stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters and the people of Palestine. Learn more about the rally below, and be sure to check out our UK Director Rajiv Sinha's powerful speech at the event. |

HfHR UK at Trades Union Congress x Stand Up to Racism |
| On Saturday, March 1st, at the Trades Union Congress x Stand Up to Racism conference, our HfHR United Kingdom director, Rajiv Sinha, spoke up about the collaboration taking place between Hindu supremacists and white supremacists.
While he acknowledged that this relationship has been building over several years, he highlighted in particular how this alliance hit its peak last year when right-wing white nationalist Tommy Robinson was platformed several times by key Hindu nationalist figures, repeating his racist and aggressive statements in the run up to and during the anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant riots. |
