MASS RESISTANCE ACTIONS AGAINST NRC and CAB
The founding mission of Hindus for Human Rights is our commitment to speak up for the ideals of multi-religious pluralism in the United States, India and beyond.
If you are Hindu and are proud of the inclusive heart of Hinduism and India, PLEASE JOIN US, please support us, please help us build an explicitly Hindu voice within the mass resistance to #Hindutva.
As the Government of India threatens day after day to implement what we have previously called the "National Register of Cruelty" (NRC) throughout India, and has now passed the Citizens Amendment Bill 2019 (CAB), which strikes at the very heart of India’s constitution, we wholeheartedly and vociferously add our voices to those of our brothers and sisters in India who are protesting these draconian anti-minority measures and are calling on the Indian public to reject them.
This is not just a matter for Indian citizens. Every Indian in the diaspora has locus standi and ought to be concerned and worried. For, unlike the lock-down in Kashmir and the situation in Assam, which may seem distant to many, the NRC and the CAB will come knocking on every door of our friends and family in India. And it is critical that we speak up before disaster strikes the heartland of India.
We bring below links to some of the citizens actions underway and some of the recent news items on NRC/CAB. Please inform yourself and add your voice to these initiatives in whatever way you can.
