Voices of Resistance to CAB/CAA/NRC in India
The Hinduism of the Hindu nationalists that are wielding their power in inhumane ways, is not the Hinduism we recognize or tolerate. We maintain that Hinduism is a religion which has ekatva (oneness of all) at its core.
Hindutva is exclusive and Islamophobic, whereas Hinduism teaches that the divine resides equally and identically in a Hindu and a Muslim.
Hindutva is violent and para-militaristic, whereas Hinduism embraces ahimsa (non-violence and non-harm).
Hindutva is hyper-masculine, whereas Hinduism teaches that there is no Shiva without Shakti .
We at Hindus for Human Rights are committed to sharing and amplifying diverse voices of resistance to Hindu nationalist, anti-Muslim and anti-democratic policies in India.
